1. If you're contacting the Chief instead of reading the actual PD forums, don't bother applying. I myself wouldn't have wanted you when I was Chief. You'd know what to do if you would bother reading; the key to a successful PD is organization. Always has been, the past few Chief's have neglected to ever organize the department and instead would promote at random without delegating any tasks or giving out any actual jobs. Everyone was a PO with no new responsibilities, regardless of rank.
