OOC SECTION:
This is the form intended for CCW holders to request special weapons from the ATF which aren't available from the regular store. They must have a valid IC reason for needing to obtain this weapon, as well as pass the required tests, in order for the application to be accepted.
STATE ORDINANCE(IC):
- The term "special weapon", in this case, refers to any weapon models that are not available from state-authorized firearm stores. This includes, but is not limited to:
- AR-15s and similar models
- Kalashnikovs and similar models
- Semi-automatic or fully-automatic shotguns
- Fully automatic pistols
- All open and closed action sub-machine guns
- Scoped Rifles
- Suppressed weapons - NOTE: Only suppressed pistols will be approved for use as special weapons.
- Only CCW HOLDERS may apply for Special Weapons
- Special Weapons Requests will be approved on case-by-case basis, depending on the type of weapon requested and the applicant's reason for requesting said weapon.
- Upon CCW HOLDERS being granted a Special Weapon, they are expected to ONLY use the special weapon for the reason(s) listed in their request. Failure to abide by the intended use policy will result in immediate confiscation of the special weapon and possible revocation of CCW.
- Special Weapons must be securely transported in a hard shelled case, and equipped with a trigger guard untill needed for its' intended use.

Please submit the Special Weapon Request in the Weapon Permit Request section, following the format; "Firstname Lastname - Special Weapon Request". Failure to follow this process may result in your request being denied.
