Clarification On CK Clauses

Government Factions
  • If you or anybody involved (except bystanders who are not involved) is killed in a SWAT operation or in a situation where both sides (The police and the criminals) have fired their weapon, they are eligible for a CK if a Administrator is present and over looks the situation.

Every CK Situation is unique, and some of these rules may not apply to every situation. Administrators have the authority to enforce or not enforce CK if they decide to deem a situation valid or invalid.

Illegal Factions
  • Most Illegal Factions have CK clauses, and it would behoove you to read the CK clause for whatever faction you are trying to join, or hanging around with, as it might apply to you, even as an associate. All illegal faction CK clause should be stated clearly in their faction thread and available to the public. When a leader of an illegal faction deems a situation CK clause worthy, he may contact a Administrator to administer the CK, only in the event that the reason falls under the CK clause.
  • If a person is being chased by a police officers or any type of government faction that would lead up to incarceration or detainment and that person begins shooting at the police officers to avoid arrest at the last second, you also will be eligible for a CK. A life imprisonment CK might also be issued alongside the alternative of a hefty jail sentence.

Administrators also have the capability to designate areas (and events) under a CK clause for a certain amount of time. An example of this could be: "Terrorists have surrounded a corporate building near Temple." A Administrator can then place the CK clause for that event. What that essentially means, if involved in that event (or in that area) and you happen to die, that will be considered a CK.

How to become an Official Faction
Visit here.

Benefits of being Official
  • A sub-forum with a Private and Public Section (if you request one).
  • An in game Faction Menu (F3)
  • A Faction chat where you may talk and manage your Faction.
  • Certain Factions also have the ability to request faction vehicles, the limits for these can be seen above.

When and if ever your Faction obtains official status, you are responsible for your Faction and must uphold activity or Faction Review Team (F.R.T) has the right to revoke your Official Status. We also love to see Screenshots! We understand that some people may MetaGame but there is always the Administrator team to assist you if that happens! Screenshots show us your RolePlay because we do not have the time to RolePlay with every faction!

  • Don't create factions just because you are in the mood to be a leader and want to run your own thing on the server, but the faction clearly is something that's been done before and failed miserably. It steals potential members away from factions that are active, dedicated and show a high standard of RP.
  • When you have a faction running successfully, stay active. Try to attract members with your RP and whatnot. The same applies to faction members. Stay committed. We all have seen factions dying out due to inactivity and that's certainly not a pleasant sight. Leading or being a member? Stay committed.
  • Don't completely isolate yourself from other factions (this one especially to street gangs). Interact with each other, keep members interested and soon you will see success.
  • Stay active and committed to your faction, promote a high standard of RP and attract people to yourself. There's no room for empty factions or factions with 1-2 members. The more of such factions we have, the less members official factions and those who struggle to get members, but are good in terms of standards and concept have.

Faction Wars Rules
  • Keep OOC and IC matters Separate.
  • Forum fighting and conflict will not be tolerated.
  • You may not switch to an alternate character during the War at any time, unless you are killed.
  • When you are killed, you may ask why, but do not become abusive, harass others, or whine.
  • If you are killed during the war, you may not partake in any component of the war on an alternate character unless PD is needed.
  • You need a valid reason to fight, someone simply calling you a racial slur or name won't cut it. Something such as turf wars, controlling the drug trade, or a beat down of a member would be more representative of the type of conflicts that could cause a war. Please remember, murder and war is always the last resort.
  • Faction wars falls under the CK Clause.
  • Remember; guns are a last resort.

Small Guide when RolePlaying in a Faction!

  • Murder is always a serious offense, remember to RolePlay emotion in your faction and remember that excessive murdering and killing people can lead to an OOC Punishment as well as bringing a bad name for your Faction.
  • Remember that some factions have a certain ethnicity and certain names go with others. You wouldn't see a made guy in the Italian Mafia named Treyshawn Laquanda. This does not mean pick a full blown Italian name but think about this when making a character for a faction.
  • Factions don't have HQ's, they have legal fronts, hangout spots, homes, and other places for hanging out. Do not call a location a HQ, it makes you look bad as well brings attention towards your Faction.
  • Remember to make a correct, realistic Faction structure depending on which type of Faction you are making. For a Mafia, the organizing is very solid and strict, whilst a street gang is more liberal with who runs and is responsible for what.
  • There is always new players in the Server. Don't hesitate to teach new players about RolePlay, everybody was new to RolePlay at some point - maybe invite them to your Faction?

When creating a Legal Faction.

  • Make sure that you have everything set up, such as a few starting base members, a business operation base, as well as plans to get out to the public. A legal faction needs to show that they are active and openly RolePlaying with the server's population.

Create a legal faction for the RolePlay - not just the Money
  • If giving out pay checks, do not give unrealistic pay checks such as $10,000 an hour, this gives a bad name for your Faction and pushes players towards hoarding money. When running Competitions, give a reasonable prize to the winner. Hundreds of thousands of dollars or a Sports car is not a realistic prize.
  • Do not start off as a well known corporation, start off as a smaller legal business and work your way up as you get more known and more members.
  • There is tons of possibilities for legal Factions, you can easily think of something to do when organizing events and such. When creating an events faction, plan out your events instead of logging on and just doing it one day with out any notice.
  • Take notice of other Factions presence, if you are making an events faction when we already have one, you are taking possible members from each other. If you just work together and join up you can have the best possible Roleplay experience. Don't start a Faction just so you can lead it.
  • Don't start a faction if you can not have enough dedication towards your legal faction, such as if you are a government official and running a small business that would be alright. Do not expand into a huge corporation as realistically you would not have enough time to put in on both factions.
